Police Seize Cynthia’s Corpse In Lagos



The police in Lagos state, western Nigeria refused to release the corpse of Cynthia Osokogu, the Facebook girl murdered by suspected kidnappers in a hotel in Lagos, to her parents for burial in her hometown today.
According to sources, the police had planned to do an autopsy on the body yesterday at the Ikeja General Hospital morgue. Police Commissioner Umaru Manko told P.M.News that the pathologist did not complete the autopsy and hence the decision not to release Cynthia’s body for burial.

Indecent Dressing In The Work Place



I walked into a youth gathering of about forty people a few weeks ago and about four of the young ladies there were dressed in a rather indecent manner. Every where you turn to nowadays, indecent dressing seems to be so rampant. It seems to be a cancer that has eaten deep into every nook and cranny of our society. GSM providers threaten to leave the North



The major GSM providers in Nigeria-MTN, Airtel, GLO mobile and Etisalat have threatened to leave the Northern part of the country after attacks on their base stations which have made them to lose up N1.03 billion.
The umbrella body of the telecoms operators, the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria(ALTON), on Thursday that it has become too dangerous to operate in the region.
The major GSM providers – MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat – are all members of ALTON.

Contrary to ongoing speculation that the NBC last week banned Wande Coal “Go low” video from being air on Terrestrial TV, the agency has denied such allegation.
Quote from thenetng, Spokes person of NBC explained that the commission ‘merely verbally advised stations should edit the musical video’ before using it on Terrestrial TV stations.
‘We have no issues with the lyrics; the issue is with the video clip and just a tiny part of it. The advice is to edit that part before use on broadcasting stations’ said Francisca Aiyetan, a rep from the Broadcast Content and Zonal Coordination of the commission.
She also explained the importance of NBC’s strictness with videos aired on terrestrial free-to-air stations.
