Sule Lamido |
Lamido gave the admonition yesterday at the Hawan Bariki when the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Sanusi, paid him Sallah homage at the late Muhammad Sanusi Durba Ground in Dutse, the state capital.
He said things went “wrong in the country because Nigerians
abandoned God in the ways they did things. Oppression, injustice and wickedness
are responsible for the current crisis in the country. We should seek
forgiveness from God and mend our ways so that things can change for the
better.”
He expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful co-existence in the
state among the different people and attributed it to discipline and
understanding of the people of the state.
Earlier, Sanusi urged the governor to revive the irrigation system
in the state to achieve food security, jobs for the youth and alleviate poverty
among the people.
