Daughter of former president of (Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, belongs to the class of women who have been able to make history in the political landscape of the country. The controversial medical doctor- turned- politician started her career in the political world when she was made the Commissioner of Health in her home state, Ogun. Afterwards, she was able to secure a seat in the upper chamber of the National Assembly. She had cut the personality of a controversial person before she was shamefully defeated at the polls while seeking a return to the Senate. What is no longer news to the society is that the woman has since re-located to Canada ever since she lost at the polls where she's believed to be studying.

A contrary tale as regards her 'exile' is now making the rounds that the woman could not cope with what befell her at the polls last year. Hence, she decided to relocate. Another tale making the rounds is her alleged romance with a Nigerian who is based in Canada.

Rumour mongers say that she wants to see if the romance will lead somewhere. The man said to be her lover is alleged to be younger in age and has a child back home in Nigeria.

On the other hand, the man whom Iyabo actually got married to some 13 years ago is Hakeem Bello. However, the couple divorced eight years ago based on irreconcilable differences. He has since moved on with his life and remarried his lover of many years, Olajumoke Katherine Thompson and they are expecting their first child.
