BREAKING NEWS: Taraba gov involved in plane crash

Taraba state Gov. Danbaba Suntai was involved in a plane crash in neighbouring Adamawa state Thursday evening. A source related to the governor of Adamawa state and presently at the Adamawa Government House however told Daily Trust that the governor is not dead as widely reported. The source however confirmed that the governor sustained injuries and was immediately evacuated to a hospital under the direct supervision of the Adamawa state governor, Murtala Nyako.
Reports from various sources earlier Thursday evening from Adamawa state however said the governor died in the crash, though two others in the craft survived.

There has been no official statement yet to confirm or deny the speculations on his condition.

An aircraft he was personally piloting crashed this evening at the Yola International Airport in neighbouring Adamawa state.

The governor, reported to have attended training in the Aviation College in Zaria and another flight training school in America, has been known to fly himself around the state capital in a personal helicopter acquired earlier this year. It has not yet been confirmed if it is the same craft involved in the crash is the same helicopter or another.
