Gunmen
on Sunday abducted Nollywood actress Ms Nkiru
Sylvanus in Owerri.
The
popular actress, who is also a Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha on
public affairs was reportedly kidnapped at about 2:30pm.
It
was learnt that the abductors have established contact and were said to be
demanding N100 million ransom.
Nkiru
was last seen on the set of a movie last night in Owerri.
Actors’
Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President Ibinabo Fiberisima confirmed the story.
‘We
are trying to liaise with her state government to find a solution to it. It’s
unfortunate that people can do things like this to people who make them happy‘,
the AGN President lamented.
Ibinabo
has also told Nigerians to pray for the fair-skinned actress. ‘Please Nigerians
pray for her!‘.
