FG lifts ban on Dana Airline

Nigeria’s federal authorities on Wednesday lifted the suspension of the operating licence of Dana Airline, withdrawn after the fatal crash of one its planes in a Lagos suburb 3 June. About 158 people, including ground victims died in the crash.

According to him, his late wife took ill over five months ago and was battling fibroid. Over 37m telephone lines are inactive in Nigeria; NCC reveals a declining use of activated lines

The monthly subscriber data of telecommunication operators shows that there were 37,038,204  inactive telephone lines on operators’ networks as at July, 2012. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), in a statement on Tuesday, showed that the inactive lines increased by 3,366,204, above the 33,672,000 recorded in June, 2012.

Minister of Planning, Shamsudeen Usman, who spoke to journalists at the meeting of the Economic Management Team on Tuesday said that President Goodluck Jonathan had approved the proposal to print the N5000 denomination. He added that government would push ahead with the printing.
