SUNTAI: TARABA ACTING GOV TO VISIT GERMANY

The Acting Governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Garba Umar, is expected to depart Nigeria today as head of the state delegation to visit Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai in Hannover, Germany.
A press statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Emmanuel Bello, explained that Umar would have travelled to Germany before now but due to visa difficulties.

Bello also said that before now, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Emmanuel Injuwa, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Victor Bala Ona, had paid similar visits to Suntai, who is in hospital in Germany.
Suntai, the statement explained is recuperating speedily and would soon return to the state to continue his assignment.
Some concerned indigenes of the state last week addressed the media and demanded that the medical report of Suntai be made public to avoid protests.
The group also condemned what they described as the many trips made by Suntai’s political appointees which they noted were a mere waste of government resources, just as they noted that such trips have so far amounted to nothing.
