‘WHY GOVT IS IMMORTALISING AHMADU BELLO’


NIGERIA on Tuesday recorded another epoch-making event as the Federal Government immortalised the late Sir Ahmadu Bello by engraving his photographs on Nigeria’s postage stamps to commemorate Ahmadu Bello University’s 50th anniversary.
Delivering his speech in Abuja at the event Tuesday, Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, explained that the numerous achievements of late Sir Ahmadu Bello in fostering political and socio-economic economic development remains a lasting legacies by the late patriot.

The minister also said that the immortalisation of the great founding father on Nigeria’s postal stamps as a means of sending messages all over the world remains an indelible mark in the history of the country.
He urged Nigerians to work assiduously to contribute their national quota in building the country to a greater height as to attract a reward of this kind.
