THE stage is gradually
getting set for political gladiators in Delta State preparatory to the 2015
elections as human rights activist, Mr Festus Keyamo, has indicated his
interest to contest for the governorship of Delta State.
Keyamo made this known recently in Effurun-Warri, Delta State, at the maiden edition of Delta Forces United (DFU), a rallying point being put in place to mobilise and galvanise progressives in the state.
The human rights activist, who promised to take
‘Deltans’ out of what he termed the present state of underdevelopment,
condemned what he regarded as “politics of cronyism, ethnicity, prebendalism
and underdevelopment in the state,” announcing that it was time for ‘Deltans’
to be liberated from the dynasty of thieves that has festered in the state over
the years.Keyamo made this known recently in Effurun-Warri, Delta State, at the maiden edition of Delta Forces United (DFU), a rallying point being put in place to mobilise and galvanise progressives in the state.
It is yet to be known on which political party Keyamo would run for the election, but he has ruled out the possibility of joining the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), describing the party as “an entrencher of godfatherism to the detriment of the masses.”
