Former governor of Bayelsa state, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha,
has declared that President Goodluck Jonathan deserves a second term in office.
The former governor stated this in chat with journalists in Ibadan during a private visit to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state.
He stated that though president was yet to declare his ambition for second term, the former governor however said there was need for Nigerians to give him the chance as he deserves another four years to complete his good works.

He said it was glaring that President Goodluck Jonathan is a
silent achiever who would not always blow his trumpet, adding that Nigerians
should give the transformation agenda of the administration a chance, if the
nation must move forward.
He said: “We know what this country was like before Jonathan came in. This country was rotten administration after administration, but we can see what effort he is making to transform it. It is unfortunate that we celebrated and keep celebrating people who destroyed this country. Goodluck Jonathan is a silent performer and in every sector, you can see his impact.”

The former governor blamed the various security challenges
currently facing the country on those he said were not happy with the situation
of things, stressing that Nigeria belongs to everybody and not any particular
group of people.
