OZEKHOME RELEASED

BENIN CITY – BARELY two weeks after Human Rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome was abducted by suspected kidnappers, the activist ,Thursday, regained his freedom.
Though, it cannot be ascertained, at the time of this report, how much was paid as ransom, Vanguard learnt that the sum of N100million was paid by his family and friends to secure his release.

There was jubilation in his Oviukwe community in Etsako East Local Government Council of Edo State following his release by his abductors. It was learnt that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was abandoned near Agbor at about 1am.
He was said to have left for Lagos to rejoin his family.
The Edo State Police Commissioner, Folunso Adebanjo confirmed his release to Vanguard.
