UK SOCIAL SERVICES WARNED OF ‘MIRACLE BABY’ FROM NIGERIA

United Kingdom child protection organisations have warned the country’s social service organisations to watch out for couples returning from Nigeria with “miracle babies” as they could be a cover for trafficking.
The child protection organisations, Cafcass, ADCS and Children and Families Across Borders, CFAB, social services also issued guidance to all social workers in the UK, telling them how to recognise signs of staged fake births.
There were reports in the UK of a Nigerian couple which claimed fertility treatment combined with their strong Christian faith had resulted in them conceiving in Nigeria, but tests showed the child, who was later taken into care, was not theirs.
