Eight people were killed in a car bomb attack on kano school of hygiene, Commissioner of Police, Kano state Police Command, Adenrele Shinaba, has said.
Shinaba told Daily Trust that 12 injured victims of the blast have been hospitalised
The attack took place this afternoon within the city.

Students of the Kano school of hygiene located within the Kano city are feared dead after a bomb-laden car exploded in the school.
The incident occured about 45 minutes ago.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Magaji Musa Majiya, confirmed the attack, but said could not give the casualty figure.
Bayero Univeristy, Kano had been targeted in the past. Extremist group, Boko Haram, claimed responsibility for attacks on schools in the North East in the past.
