As part of the present transformation at the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) the Service will in August release a 64-page passport booklet.
According to Comptroller General of Immigration, David Shikfu Paradang, President Goodluck Jonathan, who will unveil the booklet, will be the first recipient of the new booklet.
The NIS CG spoke Thursday while decorating 27 Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGS) and 17 Comptrollers of Immigration (CIS). They were among 2,979 officers and men of the NIS recently promoted in fresh elevation carried out by the Civil Defence, Fire, immigration and Prisons Services board.
The CGI disclosed that as part of improved service delivery of present administration, the immigration service has in the last six months, issued a total of 534,068 e-passports in centres in the country and Nigerian missions abroad.
