2015: NIGERIANS MUST STAND UP FOR REVOLUTION -BALARABE MUSA

Former Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, yes¬terday, called on Nigerians to stand for peaceful revo¬lution that could usher in leaders the people deserved in 2015 general elections.
Speaking with journal¬ists shortly after meeting with members of the Na¬tional Executive Commit¬tee of the Peoples Redemp¬tion Party (PRP) to find alternative political strate¬gies for the party following its deregistration by Inde¬pendent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the former Governor said PRP would continue to fight for the cause of the downtrod¬den.
Musa, who is the Nation¬al Chairman of deregis¬tered Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), added that since the country’s political system had been hijacked by money bags, the hope of the people getting cred¬ible leaders through their voting power would not be feasible.
Musa identified social, moral, coup staging, and constitutional types of rev¬olutions Nigerians should choose from to ensure an enthronement of credible leadership in the country come 2015.
He also lamented the state of insecurity in the country, stressing that no¬body in the country, includ¬ing President Goodluck Jonathan is safe in this cir¬cumstance.
His words: “I know Ni¬geria’s situation. It is im¬possible to have free, fair, credible and transparent election leading to demo¬cratic mandate.
“We need a revolution, we need peaceful demo¬cratic revolution or oth¬erwise to bring about the condition that will bring about free, fair, credible and transparent election that will lead to legitimate leadership.
“Let us be objective; elec¬tions today are decided by three factors. First, money power, second, incumbency, and now we are facing the third one, balance of ter¬ror. That was how elections were decided in Ekiti and Osun states. The ruling party, PDP, can do and undo with the peoples votes. So revolution is the answer whether peaceful or other¬wise.
“There are three types of revolution, I can tell you. First, there is moral revo¬lution, where Nigerians decide to have free, fair and transparent election and protect their votes. But is it possible in Nigeria? Can you use moral persuasion to change things in Nige¬ria? The second one is con¬stitutional; let the National Assembly enact laws that can lead to this, but can the National Assembly do it? The third possibility is a plotting of a coup. We don’t want it as a people, but is it impossible, we don’t want it, but is it impossible? The fourth one is the real one which is social revolution. People in Nigeria should stand to protect their rights in a revolution,” Musa add¬ed:
