The club, according to spokesman, Chief Charles Mbani, in a chat with Nigerian Pilot, would be the high point of the club’s grand finale of the rallies scheduled to hold in Abuja at the end of September.
Other personalities to be honoured include top leaders of TAN.Chief Mbani also said that the club has endorsed the activities of frontline Pro- Jonathan campaign group, TAN and would be participating in its rallies slated for the six geopolitical zones and Abuja.
The spokesman of the club arrived at the decision after its world gyration (congress) in Abuja last weekend which was well attended by the old and new members from all the states of the federation as well as those living abroad.
Mbani stated, “TAN’s objective of mobilising for the president in the forthcoming presidential election is one of the most noble, patriotic and nationalistic endeavours as he has performed creditably more than past leaders of the country put together since he assumed office in 2010.
“The club is of the opinion that any effort to ensure the return of President Jonathan as the President and Commander- in -Chief of the armed forces through the ballot box is a step in the right direction.
“As TAN has embarked on the onerous task of mobilizing Nigerians for the purpose, we express our unalloyed support and wish to pledge that our members both within and outside the campuses will gladly enlist in the noble course’’, he said.
Mbani stated that the crowd at TAN’s rallies would be entertained by its ‘brutal gyration’ (drumming and dancing) characteristic of its activities since 52 years of its formation.
