RIVERS LG CHAIRMAN SLUMPS, DIES IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE

Port Harcourt local government area caretaker committee chairman, Charles Paul, who slumped at a meeting held in the Government House on Monday, has been confirmed dead.
The late LG boss was said to be testifying at the arena, when he allegedly fell down, and was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
Confirming the incident differently to newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and his Chief of Staff, Sir Tony Okocha, respectively described the incident as most tragic and unfortunate.
Efforts to access family members for more details failed as their phone lines were switched off, but there has not yet been any official report to confirm the cause of such a sudden death.
It was, however, reported that he was vomiting blood before he was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
