The #BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) Group has defied security threats to meet at a private residence in its continued clamour for the rescue of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
The group, which met at an undisclosed area in Abuja which for security reasons, insisted that despite the security threat its members are facing, they will continue to meet on a daily basis.
It also expressed fears about the continued stay of the Chibok girls in the camp of the Boko Haram, saying it will no longer be accepted because of the alleged fears that they may be used as suicide bombers as witnessed recently.
BBOG group also added that it was dangerous for the nation, for the girls to continue to be in the hands of their abductors and called on the government to intensify efforts to bring them back safely.
The group further said it will come up with new strategies to help pass its message across to not only the government but to the public who feels that it is anti-government.
“We have done a lot of activities. Some of which made people call us anti-government like the protest. But we are not. Our singular purpose is how to bring the girls back safe and alive. We are going to change our strategies to correct those misconceptions”, the group added.
