Elder statesman Clark indicts, Kwakwanso, okorocha, Saraki and Lamido, all anti-Jonathan campaigners
Foremost Ijaw leader and Peoples Democratic Party PDP stalwart, Chief Edwin Clark, yesterday said he will expose both past and present corrupt governors, adding that he has their records.
Clark, who stated this in Abuja, while playing host to the executive members of the PDP, South-South zone, added that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2015 as Jonathan will contest and win the election. He branded the governors of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso; Jigawa – Sule Lamido and Imo State- Rochas Okorocha as being corrupt.
He also fingered the former governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki. Clark said, “Kwakwanso was indicted in 2003 for embezzling ecological fund belonging to Kano State. He went to court to stop the indictment but he failed. It was later Obasanjo appointed him as Defence Minister to cover him up.
“In 2007, while filling form with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, he was asked whether he has been indicted before and he said no.
He lied on oath and therefore committed the offence of perjury. When the time comes, I will expose him fully because I have all the records. “Imagine Bukola Saraki that is also shouting. He used different names to open over 18 bank accounts.
That is why the Police invited him for questioning. Instead of going to explain himself, he went to court to stop police investigation. “I will soon expose him.
Let him come and say he is not corrupt. “Is it Lamido that will say he is not corrupt? He did not finish secondary school and he wants to become the President.
Let him come and deny that he did not finish Secondary school. According to Clark, “another corrupt governor is Okorocha.
His company was owing every bank to the extent that the CBN said no bank should lend him money again but a year after becoming a governor, he paid all the debts.
Where did he get the money to pay such? “All of them should leave Jonathan alone. He has done more than any one of them all.
“The Attorney General of the Federation AGF is the one responsible for exposing them. “For those showing interest to contest in 2015, let me tell them that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock. Jonathan will contest in 2015 and he will win”, Clark stated.
Earlier, the Chairman of the PDP, South South, Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh, had stated that the executive council had come to visit Clark to pay homage and respect for his contributions towards promoting the cause of the South South.
He added that the entire South South had endorsed Jonathan’s candidacy in the 2015 elections.
Speaking further, Clark stated that he is so close to Jonathan because the President has adopted him as his father, adding that he nominated Jonathan as a running mate to late Umaru Yar’adua
