ALLEGED N800M IMPEACHMENT BRIBE ROCKS EKITI ASSEMBLY

15 All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly members in Ekiti state have allegedly been bribed with a sum of N800 million to impeach the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
The lawmakers who has cut short its on-going recess to resume sitting today (Thursday) has been having close door meetings with various political stakeholders in the state on the bribe allegation.
The Ekiti Democratic Coalition (EDC), in a release is
sued yesterday and signed by its coordinator, Comrade Aderemi Olaleye, alleged that some lawmakers in the state met with the party leader, Bola Tinubu and former Governor Kayode Fayemi in Lagos on Monday, where the directive was given.
EDC alleged that each of the lawmakers got N50m while the Speaker, Adewale Omirin was given N100m.
“The lawmakers will be hinging the impeachment of the dissolution of Local Councils Caretaker Committee.

“Apart from the Speaker, some of the lawmakers who attended the meeting were the Deputy Speaker, Adetunji Orisalade (Ido/Osi II), Majority Leader, Churchill Adedipe (Irepodun/Ifelodun I), Adetunji Odu ((Irepodun/Ifelodun I), Ogunrinde Ojo-Olaseinde (Moba I) and others.
“Tinubu instructed the assembly members to make sure that Ekiti State is made ungovernable for Governor Fayose.”
However, Fayose’s Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, in his reaction said any plot against Fayose and his government is a declaration of war against Ekiti people, saying; “their evil plot will fail.
He said Ekiti will no longer be governed from Tinubu’s Lagos residence, adding that any attempt to subvert the mandate freely given to Fayose by Ekiti people will be resisted by the people.
