APC WILL WIN ALL NORTH-EASTERN STATES —SHETTIMA

The Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, has said that the All Progressives Congress will win all the six states in the North-East in the 2015 elections.
He boasted that after the 2015 elections, the party would not be only at the helms of affairs in both Yobe and Borno states, it would also be controlling affairs in the remaining four states and their Houses of Assembly.
The remaining four states in the geo-political z
one are Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi and Taraba.
Shettima, who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Zanna Mustapha, said this while taking delivery of 100 bags of rice donated by the APC national leadership to those displaced by Boko Haram insurgency in Maiduguri, Borno State.

He advised the people of the troubled Borno State against voting for politicians who were never around to console them during their trying time.
He said, “Many of these politicians, who are now regrouping to launch their political ambitions ahead of the 2015 elections, fled our state. They could not even come around to sympathise with our people in distress. I am urging our people not to support the political ambition of such politicians.”
The governor’s representative, who received the food items from the National Welfare Officer of the APC, Alhaji Dikko Umaru, lauded the party for the donation, assuring that the items would be delivered to the displaced persons.
He noted that the APC had continued to support the three north-eastern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, insisting that the party leadership should be commended for constantly persuading the Federal Government to show more interest in the Boko Haram crisis and the plight of the affected states.
Umaru, who delivered the items on behalf of the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said the gesture should be seen as a show of support and not politically motivated.
“What is important is the heart to do it, the motive behind it and not the quantity,” he pleaded.
