The National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Mohammed Dasuki, has warned members of the public, especially the political class and critical stakeholders, that it would no longer tolerate divisive, provocative and inciteful statements
that could be detrimental to national security and peaceful conduct of the 2015 general elections.
Dasuki, who was represented by Director of Policy and Strategy, Office of the NSA (ONSA), Amb. Layiwola Lasehinde, gave this warning on Monday at a two-day workshop on "Security Consciousness and Awareness for Media Reporters in Abuja & Environs", aimed at tasking journalists to be more patriotic and sensitive of their environment.
He said that there were those who had made a habit of over-heating the polity with provocative statements and deriding the office of the President at any slight opportunity.
