MAKU HAS BETRAYED JONATHAN —MARK

PRESIDENT of the Senate, Senator David Mark, on Saturday, said the immediate past Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, had betrayed the confidence reposed in him by President Goodluck Jonathan by joining the governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa State.
Maku left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), because
he lost to Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, during the PDP governorship primary in the state.
But Mark lambasted Maku in Keffi, Keffi Local Government Area of the state, while addressing the supporters of the party during the kick-off of the governorship campaign.
He used the avenue to debunk insinuation that President Jonathan was in support of Maku’s ambition in APGA, urging people to disregard such rumour.
“The former Minister of Information, Maku after he benefited a lot from the PDP government, defected to APGA and such decision is not in the best interest of PDP and nobody should say that President Jonathan is supporting his governorship ambition in the state.”
Mark urged the Nigerians, especially youths to be law-abiding and respect constituted authority, appealing to them to eschew politics of bitterness, religion and ethnicity.
