PHOTOS: POPULAR BALOGUN MARKET ON LAGOS ISLAND GUTTED BY FIRE

 Goods worth millions of naira were consumed by fire which started around 4:36am at the popular Balogun Market on Lagos Island. The fire started from a plaza which housed hundreds of shops and gradually spread across other buildings. A Diamond bank building was also affected. Five plazas and four houses were also razed down in the inferno. Fire fighters were called in to calm the situation. More pics after the cut..
