NNPC SAYS FUEL SCARCITY WILL SUBSIDE BY WEEKEND

Group executive director, commercial and investment, NNPC, Hajiya Aisha Abdulrahman has assured Nigerians that the current fuel scarcity in the country will subside before the end of the week.
Hajiya Abdulrahman gave the assurance yesterday at the NNPC mega station in Abuja when the Supervising Minister of Information, Edem Duke paid the station a vi
sit.
She said there was adequate supply of petroleum in the country which should last 20 to 30 days and should ease up the scarcity.

The director also noted that the cause of the scarcity was a result of hoarding, damage to pipelines and vandalism.
Duke advised other filling stations to ensure they operate 24 hours like NNPC in order to ease the tension.
He also called on citizens to avoid panic buying and also be conscious of their health and safety around the stations.
