…signs peace pact in Kaduna
The President Ijaw Youth Council World Wide, IYCWW, Comrade Udengs Eradiri, yesterday declared that the Chairman Indepen¬dent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega’s time is up saying nothing will stop government from sending him on terminal leave.
Speaking at the sign¬ing of peace pact between South South youths and the Northern Youth Coun¬cil of Nigeria held the famous Arewa House in Kaduna,the Ijaw Youth Council president ar¬gued that there are many other Nigerians that can conduct free and fair elec¬tions comes March 28 and April 11 general elections.
Eradiri, while calling on Northern youths to vote President Goodluck Jonathan for second term said the youths should re¬sist violence during and after post elections:”There are thousands of Nigeri¬ans that can conduct free and fair elections in Nige¬ria”
The Ijaw youth coun¬cil boss denied that Niger Delta youths had threat¬ened war if President Jonathan lost election adding that they believe the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candi¬date will win in a free and fair election.
Speaking on the Top¬ic: The Transformation Agenda of Mr. President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan: Unity in Diversity”, Prof. J.G La’ah of Kaduna State University said President Jonathan transforma¬tion agenda anchored on late President Yar’adua’ agenda saying the pres¬ent administration has established 13 universities including Police academy adding that 10 of the new universities were located in northern Nigeria
