AYIRI, DUMP PDP FOR APC

These are not good times for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, as scores of its political juggernauts from across the three senatorial districts are defecting and collapsing their structures into the campaign train of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oloorogun O’tega Emerhor.
It was gathered that the rumour making the rounds is that an Itsekiri youth leader, Chief Ayiri Emami had defected to APC to deliver Oloorogun Otega Emerhor as governor come April 11, is after all true.
Emami was a long time prince in the political dynasty of former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori and had since become a formidable power broker in the ruling PDP, who recently funded and fronted failed Tony Obuh PDP ticket in the state.
He also campaigned tirelessly for the party before president Jonathan lost his re-election bid
Ayiri was recently spotted with the APC national leaders, Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the news of his defection went to town.
