BOLA IGE: WE’LL REOPEN MURDER CASE UNDER BUHARI –SON

Almost 14 years after his gruesome murder, son of late Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Bola Ige, Muyiwa, says the family would reopen the case under the administration of President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
Addressing newsmen, Muyiwa is also optimistic that the killers of his late father would be found this tim
e around after years of stalled attempts.
Ige was assassinated in his Bodija, Ibadan, home on December 23, 2001, by yet to be identified gunmen.
Some high profile politicians were implicated in the murder.

Addressing newsmen, Muyiwa, an Architect and Osun State Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, who spoke on why those who assassinated his father have not been apprehended after almost a decade and half, said the family already knew those who killed his father and would reopen the case when the next government takes over in May.
According to him: “We know the killers, they are still out there walking, but sooner or later the killers will be found.
“Once we have a concerned government in power, we will fish out the killers. I thank God that on May 29 a concerned government will take over.
“When we have the government that believes in the rule of law, we are going to push for the case to be reopened. Right now, the prime suspects have no power base. We are going to reopen the case and, hopefully, justice will prevail,” he said.
