SARAKI’S MEETING WITH APC LEADERS ‘CANCELLED’

Senate President Bukola Saraki was scheduled to meet with John Oyegun, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at 12:45 pm on Thursday, but it has now been called off. Bamikole Omishore, Saraki’s media aide, sent out a message at 12:25, which read: “His Excellency, Distinguished Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, will be at APC party secretariat at 12:45 to meet chairman and NWC. Press, please take note.” But a few minutes later, he sent another message, terse this time: “Apologies, meeting has been cancelled.” Omishore did not state any reason for the cancellation of the meeting.
