DSS SAGA: MARYLIN OGAR SHUNS RECALL

Plans by the newly appointed Director general of the Department of State Service, DSS,Musa Daura, to recall DSS Spokesperson, Marylyn Orgar may have hit the rock as The Union gathered that she has called his bluff.
The UNION gathered from a very reliable source yesterday that the eloquent and ebullient spokesperson of the DSS is contemplating leaving the service
over recent injustices going on in the organization.
Recall that the DSS acting on the directives of the new DG, demoted about 40 of the Service personnel including the agency spokesperson who was promoted recently alongside 44 others by the former director general, Mr. Ita Ekpeyong.
Ogar, was promoted in March alongside 44 other officers, in the last days of President Jonathan’s administration.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity, Promotions of officers in the DSS are usually done at the end of each year, but Ms. Ogar and 44 others were promoted last March.

“Promotions are usually carried out at the end of each year. You know Ogar already has some issues with APC people before now, how she painted APC. President Buhari hated her for that. immediately the swearing in of Muhammadu Buhari, everything changed for her, so she was automatically promoted .
“The promotion was hidden until May. Right now she is not in Nigeria. She has been demoted , and very soon she will be removed as the agency spokesperson,”he said.
“ The truth is , DSS has turned into a political house, what President Buhari did is right. I pray the new DG restructures the service”he added.
Recall that the former DG , Mr. Ita Epkeyoung, tendered his resignation letter on Thursday morning just before the announcement of Musa Daura as the New Director general.
But The UNION gathered in Abuja yesterday that following directives that she should be recalled from her programme, in some unnamed country outside Nigeria, she was alleged to have vowed not to honour the invitation as she did nothing wrong to warrant the unpleasant treatment and is already contemplating quitting the job.
