Asaba Host 2012 Umu Anioma World Conventioin

Hundreds of Anioma sons and daughters from around the world are expected at the first ever Umu Anioma World Convention slated for Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria from 28 to 30 December 2012. The convention, which will hold in Orchid Hotel, Asaba, will feature notable Anioma indigenes discussing the theme - “CREATING PATHWAYS TO A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE IN ANIOMA”
Announcing this in a Press briefing in Lagos on Thursday, October 17, 2012, the Convener, Prince Emmanuel Ohai, disclosed that the focus will be a future for Anioma that is sustainable. Topics will feature insecurity, youth unemployment, revamping our failing educational systems, agitation for the creation of Anioma State, push for Delta State Governor 2015 from Anioma.
