The unwholesome activities of a notorious Lagos terror gang code-named, “One million boys” which has been giving residents of Ajegunle, Apapa and its environs sleepless nights in recent times has been brought to an abrupt end with the arrest of no fewer than 130 members of the gang during a raid carried out at the weekend.
It would be recalled that the gang members were noted for rape, theft and robbery activities in Tolu, Boundary market and other areas within Ajegunle, Apapa.
Following incessant reports of attacks by the gang, Umar Manko, Lagos State Police Commissioner (CP), said yesterday in his office in Ikeja that he instructed the Commander, Area ‘B’ Command, Apapa, Mr. Mohammed Alli (ACP) and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Apapa Station, CSP Usman Ndanbabo to go after the suspects, resulting in the arrest of the 130 suspects.
During the raids carried out at the weekend in Brazillan Night Club, Ogo-Oluwa Hotel, Tolu and Boundary market, where the suspects were picked up, the CP disclosed that eight machetes, two double barrel short guns, a cut-to-size short gun, a pistol, a toy gun and a bayonette were recovered.
