President
Goodluck Jonathan has vowed that he will not sleep until there is stable power
supply in Nigeria.
Jonathan made the vow
while speaking in Abuja at the 52nd independence anniversary
interdenominational service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.
The president admitted that the track record, his administration
is setting with the fight against corruption is succeeding, according to
Transparency International.
He affirmed that “Nigeria will soon overcome every other
challenge facing the country, including insecurity.”
Present at the service was the former military Head of State,
General Yakubu Gowon, who is now a prayer warrior, and he again called on
Nigerians to shun blackmail and assist the administration to achieve the
transformation agenda.
He
flagged off the one year prayer project for Nigeria, to overcome the challenges
that face the country as a developing nation.
