A physically challenged housewife,
Priscilla (surname withheld) in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of
Delta State, on Tuesday allegedly poisoned her husband for having another
lover outside their matrimonial home.
Reports said the house wife was provoked by the over bearing
randy act of her husband, a motor mechanic. In the evening of the fateful
day, when she could no longer tolerate his randy attitude, she allegedly
poisoned his food with insecticide which caused the husband to become ill and
later gave up the ghost on his way to the hospital.
Although autopsy report is still being awaited, but police
spokesman in the state, Mr. Charles Muka, confirmed that the victim died after
allegedly eating a meal prepared by his wife, a mother of two children.
LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that the husband’s refusal to stop
dating other women forced the wife to eliminate him after several
warnings fell on deaf ears.
Sources said the cripple had reportedly confided in two of his
family members about his unbridled libido and urged them to plead with the
randy husband to stop running after other women.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when he returned
home drunk with the lover. LEADERSHIP further gathered that apart from the
man’s randy nature, there have been reported cases of unbearable situations
that attracted family members to settle.
Worse still, unconfirmed sources said, unprintable words are
often used by her husband to remind her of her disability, but police spokesman
explained that the victim’s excessive drinking habit may have resulted in the
ugly incident adding that the cripple has been arrested for further
investigation.
