President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), who
doubled as the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and
founder of Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has been given a
jet as a present on his 40th anniversary in ministry. Oritsejafor’s jet, marked N431CB, was announced yesterday during
the celebration of his 40th anniversary of theWord of Life Bible Church in
Warri, Delta State.
The announcement of the present at the occasion, which was made
by one of the pastors, was greeted with loud ovation and applause. Even Pastor Oritsejafor
was shocked with the gift. The identity of the donor was, however, not
disclosed.
The jet, an updated version of the 1994 Series of
Bombardier/Challenger 601 allegedly cost $4.9m.It has capacity for 10
passengers and a range of 3,900 nautical miles.
At the event, President Goodluck Jonathan, urged Nigerians to be
steadfast and seek strengths in the country’s diversity to over the challenges
that the country is experiencing presently.
Jonathan, who was the special guest of honour, said that the
country would overcome her challenges if the people could draw positively on
their areas of strengths.
The President, who waited patiently as the programme lasted,
also extolled the virtues of Pastor Oritsejafor, stating that since he started
his ministration 40 years ago, he had stirred the course and remained faithful
to his calling.
