The first daughter of the deceased, Katherine Iruobe, told our correspondent that she had not recovered from the shock. “It is still like a dream that my father is late. I was call at 5pm by Ikoyi Club management.
On getting there, I was told that my dad was in coma. I was told that when Nigeria scored the first goal, that was 4.17pm and everybody screamed, he joined the crowd and slumped. They tried to revive him but he died. My father was a great man and had passion for children. He had interest in other people,” she said amidst tears.
