When
Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, Hon. Salisu Buhari from Kano State was
elected as Speaker on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
However, his tenure was short lived as he was forced out of office barely one
year as Speaker as a result of age and certificate scandals. When the
allegations were proved, Buhari broke down in tears and opted to resign. Since
then he has been in limbo
Last week, the Jonathan
led administration announced his appointment as a member of Governing Council
of the University of Nigeria Nsukka..
What a surprise come-back….anyway,
it is a season of pardon.
