ABUJA- MEMBERS of the House of
Representatives, Wednesday, unanimously voted for the immediate take over of
the Rivers state House of Assembly by the National Assembly.
Relying heavily on Section 11 sub
section 4 of the 1999 constitution, members of the Green Chamber sacked the
state legislature pending all issues that led to the fracas in the House on
Monday are amicably settled.
Also, the House directed the
Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar to immediately re-deploy the
Rivers Commissioner of Police, Mr Christopher Mbu for dereliction of
duty.

and inability of the house of Assembly of Rivers
State to sit and transact legislate business in the House.
