Prime Minister Hage Geingob organised a surprise party to
welcome Big Brother Africa, BBA, reality show winner Dilish Mathews on
Thursday.
Dr Geingob was the first senior Government official to
officially congratulate Mathews after her arrival from South Africa on
Wednesday.
The premier told Mathews that she had represented Namibia
well in the house and also thanked Africa, singling out Nigeria for helping her
win the prize.
Geingob advised the winner to use her three-million dollar
prize money wisely for herself, her studies and family.
He also remembered Maria Nepembe, who was evicted from the
BBA house in the early weeks of the show.
Officials from the Premier's Office, the Trade and Industry
Ministry and Dilish's mother, Pashukeni Mathews, attended the party.
Dilish's victory was a result of the votes she received
after enduring 91 days against 27 other contestants.
