The Dutch Navy at the weekend led navies from America, Britain, Spain and Nigeria in search of criminals who have converted the Nigerian waterways into a safe haven for their activities.
The operation which started on Wednesday in Lagos also saw the Dutch navy embarking on a joint training exercise with the Nigerian Navy.
Addressing officers and Naval operatives from the UK, US, Netherlands and Nigeria, the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba stated that the exercise is a milestone achievement recorded by the participating countries in the area of strategic partnership. He added that the exercise is aimed at ensuring a secure and safe maritime space.
