PDP CRISIS: JONATHAN ORDERS OYINLOLA REINSTATED

…. We’ll commit Tukur to Prison if he refuses, says new PDP
…as party’s National Secretary
To avert a likely breakdown of order at the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, President Goodluck Jonathan may have ordered the National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki to ensure that the reinstated National Secretary of the party
, Prince Olugunsoye Oyinlola is not prevented from assuming his office this week.
The Baraje led new PDP also has vowed to storm the party headquarters by tomorrow to enforce the Appeal Court, Abuja judgment delivered by Justice Joseph Tor which recognised Prince Oyinlola as the validly elected National Secretary of the PDP.

Against the expectation that Oyinlola would be sworn in on Monday, Sunday Mirror gathered from a highly placed PDP source that a directive from the presidency has asked that the embattled former Governor of Osun state may not need to be sworn in rather, “he will walk back to his office, report to Tukur and assume his responsibilities as the chief administrative officer of the party. “Since he has taken oath of office in March last year for the four year tenure, he will not be required to take fresh oath.
But should any other competent court dismiss the judgment of the Appeal Court, he will vacate the seat,” President Jonathan according to the villa source says that the party must be seen to be respecting the wishes of the courts and has therefore directed the NSA to ensure that adequate security is provided at the party headquarters to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
Sunday Mirror also gathered that several meetings were held all through the weekend on the implication of Oyinlola’s return to Wadata House both by the leadership of the PDP as well as the new PDP.
An emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee of the Party may be convened next week to discuss the state of affairs in the party as well as the next weekend governorship election in Anambra state.
However, the meeting has not been ratified by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur who only returned to Nigeria on Saturday morning, early enough to make the governorship declaration in Anambra state.
However, a meeting of the top hierarchy of the party was held in Abuja late on Friday to discuss the import of the development. The South West caucus of the party who were present at the meeting also agreed to approach the court to vacate the Appeal Court decision, The South West caucus it was gathered was also asked to write a petition letter to President Jonathan over the outcome of the court order.
A South West caucus member who spoke to Sunday Mirror on the outcome of the meeting said that the return of Oyinlola to the party spells doom and can only mean that the PDP will never make any appreciable impact in the coming governorship elections in the South west particularly, in Ekiti and Osun states,
