GUNMEN KIDNAP KOGI LG CHAIRMAN'S WIFE, CHILD, DEMAND N50M RANSOM

Some unknown gunmen have kidnapped the wife and two year old child of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon Salihu Adaviruku, at his Kuroko residence ,demanding N50 million ransom.
sources close to the family of the chairman, told THISDAY that the Chairman was trailed to his house by about seven armed men, who forced their way in as the main gate was opened.
Adaviruku, who spoke to THISDAY on phone , said the Kidnappers said they were after money and were not interested in violence , unless they were forced.
He confirmed that the kidnappers demanded for N50m from him, but that he told them he had no money to give them during the attack.
