YOU’RE AN IRRITATING INTERLOPER, DOKPESI TELLS CLARK

Chairman, DAAR Communications and Raypower FM, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, yesterday described the Ijaw leader and an elder-statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, as an irritating interloper who had done more harm to President Goodluck Jonathan’s government than good.
Dokpesi, while responding to reports credited to Clark in some national dailies where the Ijaw leader was reported to have warned Jonathan against appointing the DAAR Communications’ boss as his Chief of Staff following the sack of Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, had stated that the attack on his person was unwarranted.
Clark at a press conference in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government of Delta state had expressed opposition to Dokpesi’s choice as the new Chief of Staff because he worked with certain Jonathan’s political opponent in 2011 Presidential election.

The DAAR Communication boss in a statement released on his behalf by his Executive Assistant, Okiemute Olori, said, “ this is not the first time Chief Clark will be engaging in this kind of unbridled and unwarranted attacks on the person and character of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.
“Nigerians who are very familiar with the comic ranting of Chief Clark against Dokpesi and other prominent Nigerians will agree that responding to him amounts to dignifying an irritating interloper.”
The statement alleged that Clark has a deep rooted hatred for Dokpesi and as such his attacks on the DAAR Communications boss were premeditated and preemptive.
“Time will soon tell where Chief Clark served the interest of Nigeria in the past few years since President Jonathan assumed office or whether he has been merely an agent of provocation, irritation and disunity,” he said.
“Conversely, E.K. Clark belongs to the old generation that does not believe in the unity of Nigeria and has done more harm than good to the present administration in pursuit of his parochial interest,” Dokpesi alleged.
