Governors of the 19 Northern states have resolved to identify the culprits and sponsors of the Boko Haram insurgents and other insurgencies in other places.
They Governors have also frowned at the 52 percent of the Federal Allocation accruing to the Federal Government, describing it as too much. Rising from an emergency meeting yesterday in Abuja, the Northern Governors mandated each of the States in the North to establish security trust Funds in their States for the purpose of fighting the Boko Haram menace.
According to the communique issued at the end of the two-hours meeting, signed and read by their chairman and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, the Governors encouraged member states to articulate a coordinated approach towards fighting insurgency in the North.
