1.6M CANDIDATES WRITE JAMB EXAM TODAY

About one million, six hundred and six thousand, seven hundred and fifty-three (1,606,753) candidates will on today write the 2014 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across the country and seven foreign countries. The examination is expected to take place in 392 towns in and seven overseas centers located at Accra in Ghana; Buea in Republic of Cameroun; Cotonou in Republic of Benin; London in the United Kingdom (UK); Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Johannesburg in Republic of South Africa and Abidjan in Cote d’Ivoire.
According to the JAMB Registrar Professor Dibu Ojerinde the figure for 2014 showed a decrease of 129,139 applicants, compared to 2013 figure of 1,735,892. He said this year’s examination would be in three modes: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Dual-Based Test (DBT) and Paper Pencil Test (PPT).
All arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth and hitch-free exercise just as he called on the students to exhibit discipline at their respective centres and shun exam malpractices.
