SOUTH-EAST GOVS CALL FOR PUBLIC IDENTIFICATION OF ABDUCTED GIRLS

South East governors yesterday met in Enugu with a call on the federal government to intensify the search for the abducted students of government secondary school, Chibok in Borno state and further suggested that the names and identities of the adopted students be made public, to enhance their search by the whole Nigerians.
Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state in his capacity as the chairman of the South East governors’ forum dropped this hint while speaking to news men on the outcome of their meeting, which lasted for over three hours.
He expressed the sympathy of the forum to the families of the victims, the Borno state government and the federal government over the abduction of the students.
The South East governors also at their yesterday’s meeting held at government house Enugu commiserated with the families of victims of the Nyanya bomb blasts, which occurred on May 1st.

In a six point communiqué issued after the meeting, the Governors of the South East zone expressed their condolences to the families and relatives of late Ambassador Ralph Uwaechue, the immediate past president General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, stating that they will soon visit the family home, in Ogwashiuku, Delta state.
The meeting was attended by all the five state governors. While Governors Sullivan Chime of Enugu state and his Ebonyi state counterpart were present at the meeting, the Anambra state governor, Dr Willie Obiano and his Imo state counterpart, Chief Rochas Okorocha, were represented by their deputies, Mr. Nkem Okeke and Eze Madumere respectively.
