CLARK, OTHERS WANT MILITARY ADMINISTRATORS IN ADAMAWA, OTHERS

Some prominent Nigerians of minority extraction under the leadership of a Former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the Governors of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States and replace them with military administrators.
They said this was the only way the government could wage war against the Boko Haram insurgency in the affected states.
Besides, they added that f
ull-scale state of emergency regime was needed in other to bring an end to the reign of terror in the troubled states in the North-East.
The decision of the elders who were operating under a political platform of the Congress for Equality and Change was reached at the end of a National Executive Committee meeting which took place at the Asokoro residence of Clark in Abuja on Tuesday.

The group explained that it was only a full-scale State of emergency in the affected states and the appointment of military administrators to take charge of affairs in those areas that would bring an end to intractable activities of the insurgents.
In addition, it called on the Nigerian Armed Forces to adopt more effective tactics aimed at curtailing and ending the activities of the insurgents and to preserve its image and dignity.
