WE’VE COME TO STAY IN GWOZA —BOKO HARAM

• Emir, Shettima, Ndume appeal to FG to liberate town
VOICE of Africa (VOA) Hausa report monitored in Kaduna, on Sunday, had it that the Boko Haram insurgents said they won’t leave Gwoza and they have decided not to completely destroy the town of Damboa, because they want to turn the place to their operational headquarters.
This came just as the Emir of Gwo
za, Alhaji Timta, has called on the Federal Government to redouble its effort and liberate his emirate from the grip of the insurgents, which over a hundred days after the Boko Haram insurgents annexed Gwoza in Borno State, vowed to turn the hilly community into an Islamic Caliphate.
Emir Timta, Governor Kashim Shetima of Borno State and Senator Ali Ndume, who spoke on the VOA Hausa, expressed worry over the continued annexation of towns and villages in the state by the insurgents.
They are also worried about the plight of the internally displaced persons due to the crisis and prayed for return of peace and normalcy to the North-East.
