A major shake-up at the Lagos State Police Command has seen more than twenty Divisional Police Officers and Officers in Charge of Units deployed to other beats.
Olympic Gold medalist, Chioma Ajunwa, a Chief Superintendent of Police, is one of the DPOs deployed.
Others include CSP Aniefiok Akpan from Pen Cinema Division, Agege, who was moved to Pedro Police Station; SP Williams Akintunde from Oko Oba to Morogbo Police Division; CSP Ishola Olanrewaju from Trinity Division to Apapa Division; W/CSP Chioma Ajunwa from Meiran Division to Isheri Division; W/ CSP Aishat Haruna from Ikoyi Division to Lion Building; CSP Monday Agbonika from DFA to Oke Odo Division; CSP Ben Osuji from Igando Division to Area ‘K’ as 2nd In Command; W/CSP Mariam Yusuf 2ic ‘X’ Squad SHQ to Area ‘F’ as 2ic ; SP Agene James, from OC LASTMA to 2ic XSquad; CSP Olalekan Coker DPO Pedro Police station was deployed as to the Area H command as the 2ic among others .
The Lagos Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Keneth Nwosu, when contacted confirmed the development adding that the deployment was a normal routine in the Force aimed at strengthening policing in the state.
