Former Niger Delta militant leader, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has called on the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to pay contractors of the oil pipeline surveillance project in the country.
Asari-Dokubo, who is one of the former Niger Delta agitators awarded pipeline surveillance contract by the Federal Government, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the three-month deal elapsed on June 15.
He said that the ex-minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, did not sign for the payment of the pipeline surveillance contract before she left office.
The pipeline protection project, which cut across Lagos, Ogun, Bayelsa, Ondo, Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta States, was executed from March 15, 2015 to June 15.
Asari-Dokubo urged President Buhari to pay the contractors their money if he was truly committed to the rule of law.
Ex-militant leader, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has described the recent 2015 general elections as “the most rigged election Nigeria has ever experienced, as it was not free and fair”.
Alhaji Dokubo made his stand known Sunday, during a chat with the media in Owerri, also explained that he was in Imo to be part of the Biafra Day celebration with his Biafran brothers and sisters.
“The figures were self evident. The figures clearly showed the manipulations. The elections were not free and fair. Also, the stage was set to manipulate the elections”, Dokubo said.
Leader of the now rested Niger Delta Volunteer force, Asari Dokubo has warned President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari against sending any ‘corrupt’ government official to prison.
According to the ex-freedom fighter, if the incoming president ventures into sending anyone to prison, the ‘Moses’ in him will rise and the whole nation will boil.
Dokubo who had earlier warned that if President Goodluck Jonathan loses second term bid, blood would flow in the nation warned the ex-general that he has no power to jail anyone even as the Commander-In-Chief Of the Armed Forces of the federal Republic.
He passed his warning via a Facebook post in what appears like a reply to one Mohammed Kabir. He said: “Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, your Buhari does not have the power to send anybody to prison….get that into your piggy skull and nobody is afraid of him….We are waiting for him….following the example of GEJ does not make us cowards….If he Buhari wants to be a Pharaoh….then he will find a Moses in me.”

A former Niger-Delta militant, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, says with the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan, he and other militants might be forced to ‘return to creeks.’
Asari-Dokubo, who hails from the same state as Jonathan, said the voting pattern showed that the South-West and the North ganged up again the South-South and South-East geo-political zone.
The ex-militant said in a statement by his spokesperson, Rex Anighoro, that it was unfair that the minorities were being emasculated by the majority ethnic groups.
He said he feared that the government of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, would be vicious.
He has remained optimistic about the second term of President Goodluck Jonathan even before this time. The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF) Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has said that Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) is a faceless organisation which no longer existed as far as the struggle for people's emancipation in the region is concerned.
Speaking against the background of the controversial statement issued last week by MEND endorsing the candidacy of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, the former militant leader described the acronym, MEND as pseudonym being used by the imprisoned Henry Okah to extort money from ignorant persons.
PORT HARCOURT – Alhaji Asari Dokubo, the leader of the Niger Delta People’s Salvation and Volunteer Front (NDSVF), who is also the founder of King Amachree African University, Republic of Benin, has said President Goodluck Jonathan, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 Presidential election, has already won.
Asari who spoke at the burial ceremony of Late Princess Preba Abigail Prince Ekineh, Asari’s grandmother organized by the NDSVF, at Buguma in Asari Toru Local Government Area, said it is not possible for the incumbent president who is also from the Niger Delta region to lose the election that returns him for the second term in office.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) have written a letter to the Inspector -General of Police asking for questioning of Asari Dokubo on the threat he made against the the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammad.
The APC in the letter asked the Inspector -General of Police to invite Asari-Dokubo for questioning over the comments he made on an online newspaper.
The party said it finds Asri-Dokubo’s comments that he would not give a civilized response to Mr Mohammed by suing the APC Spokesperson for his remarks but that he (Asari Dokubo) warned that he will resort to “self-help by using his hands and any other means to deal with Mr Mohammed ”
Ex-Niger Delta militant Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo yesterday denied involvement with the $9.3 million botched arms deal in South Africa.
“I know General Olusegun Obasanjo and APC are behind all the allegations for me not to be around in 2015 which I know it will not work,” Dokubo told Daily Trust in Makkah, where he is performing the Hajj.
He was reacting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) which alleged on Wednesday that Dokubo was on the jet that ferried the cash to an airport near Johannesburg on September 5.
“If you recall what happened when I was arrested in Benin Republic, it was handiwork of these people too who gave the Interpol information about which they found nothing till date on the issue,” Dokubo said yesterday.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected ex-militant leader, Asari Dokubo’s denial of involvement in the $9.3 cash-for-arms scandal between the Nigerian and South African governments.
APC had said Mr. Dokubo was one of two Nigerians arrested in South Africa after he travelled to that country with the huge cash to buy arms, purportedly for the Nigerian government.
The opposition party quoted news reports.
Mr. Dokubo has denied being on the airplane.
The APC said the denial carries no weight until the Nigerian government comes clean on the identity of Nigerians aboard the plane carrying the $9.3 million dollars impounded by the South African government.
The Leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari, on Wednesday distanced himself from the $9.3 million botched arms deal in South Africa, saying he had not been to the country since 2002.
His denial came on the heels of a call by the All Progressive congress that the Federal Government should explain Asari’s involvement in the botched deal.
But reacting to the APC’s statement, Asari in a telephone interview with journalists from Saudi Arabia where he is presently performing the 2014 Hajj, said the last time he visited South Africa was in the 2002 and could not have gone to any country without a visa.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to explain to Nigerians what Mujaheed Asari Dokubo, was doing on the plane that illegally ferried US$9.3 million to South Africa, where Asari Dokubo, another Nigerian and an Israeli were arrested, according to a published report.
In a statement issued in Abuja,Wednesday,by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said since the federal government has taken ownership of the funds by saying the National Security Adviser (NSA) issued the end-user certificate for the arms purchase, it stands to reason that the same government will know the involvement of all those aboard the plane.
It said, therefore, that the federal government has a lot of questions to answer on the whole deal, including whether Asari Dokubo is the contractor or the end user, who he was procuring arms for and for what purpose.

Recently, you have been very out spoken about very many national issues, including the insurgency in the north; what is propelling you to discuss all these national issues for which some say you expect gains from the federal government; or could it be, as some believe, that you are merely angry with a section of the country?
In view of recent security challenges facing the country, ex-militant leader, Mujahid Dokubo Asari has said that the insecurity problems in the country would be well taken care of if President Goodluck Jonathan acts fast and sacks his service and security chiefs, saying that he senses corruption in many ramifications as underlying the not too
impressive war against insurgency.
Last March, Jonathan, the President appointed Aliyu Mohammed Gusau as the Defence Minister with a mandate to end the orgy of insurgency by the Boko Haram sect, the Fulani herdsmen and others.
He has had to appoint new service chiefs even as he gave all of them including the National Security Adviser, NSA marching orders to rescue fellow Nigerians from the pangs of the insurgents.
What are your thoughts on the just concluded 2014 National Conference?
I think that the conference, as I have said in other interviews, was only useful for the purpose of giving us an opportunity to sit down and talk; and that we have done.
It has also exposed the fraud inherent in the Nigerian State – that Nigeria is not a federal state, that one section of this enclave called Nigeria is opposed to Nigeria moving forward and Nigeria being a federal state. If you look at the conference, the South East, South West ,South South and parts of the Middle Belt clearly wanted a true federal state like it was when the British left.
One section of the country, the Gambari-North or the Fulani and their collaborators, feel that that is not possible. I think that this is happening because our people had always condescended to these people; had always accepted to play the second, third and last fiddle to them. For me, I had always believed that for every action, there must be an equal and opposite reaction and except that happens, you will not be respected.
He’s a liar, says Buba Galadima
Former leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, yesterday continued his criticisms of former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
Among other things, Asari-Bokubo alleged that the 2011 presidential campaigns of Buhari under the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, were bankrolled by late Libya leader, Col. Muammar Gaddafi.
He named the political aides of Buhari, who were interfacing between him and Gaddafi.
According to Asari-Dokubo, in March 2010, he was a guest of the late Gaddafi, where he opened up on how he had been sponsoring Buhari’s elections in the past.

Self-acclaimed Niger Delta warlord and leader of Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has opened a fresh page on last Wednesday’s assassination attempt on former Head of State, General Mohammed Buhari (retd) by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
Dokubo alleged that Buhari stage-managed the attack on himself in order to attract public sympathy and paint President Goodluck Jonathan as a bad leader.
The former President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), who addressed the media in Abuja, added that Buhari and his group would fail in their conspiracy and desperation to take over power from Jonathan.

In this chat which coincided with his 50th birthday anniversary, he opened up on a number of controversial issues and incidents. He vowed to continue to fight on the side of justice and fair play.
Would you say at 50 you have achieved your set goal?
Ah! My life at 50. My experience? How am I going to put it? Well, I got into the university at the age of 21 in 1985; the University of Calabar. And from that age of 21, death became my constant companion at every turn. During the anti SAP riots after the demonstration in Jos, students in the University of Calabar also demonstrated. We were demonstrating outside the main campus when the police started shooting. And there was a female student, Nnenna, behind me. She was shot. She fell. I started wondering. I was taller than her. How come she got shot standing behind me? How did the bullet pass me to hit her? I carried her with all the blood and everything. Though it was not fatal. From that day, I decided inside me that the Nigerian state must be made to explain to the people, to my people especially what they are doing with the resources of the people.
Controversial leader and founder of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, NDPVF, has charged the people of the South-South region to prepare for war, even as he said, the ongoing onslaught by Boko Haram is designed to unleash terror on the people of the region.
Asari called on the different ethnic nationalities in the region to unite to fight the invasion of the northern imperialists.
The Niger Delta youth leader, who is noted for his controversial posture on national issues, spoke at the 10th annual Major Isaac Adaka Boro Public Lecture in Ughelli, Delta State, saying that the people of the region must act fast to foil any attempt to be enslaved.
